Chalice Arts has made a significant contribution to our school environment and this was highlighted in our very successful OFSTED Inspection. Our children have produced a lovely range of work that has really helped raise standards in art at our school. We look forward to working with Chalice Arts on a range of cross curricular project throughout the year.
Willow Tree have thoroughly enjoyed working with Steve Bruce from Chalice Arts UK. We have been involved in a range of projects linked to our International Primary Curriculum topics. Some of the themes have included Cave Art and Ancient Egypt. The children learnt to use a variety of different medium and gained knowledge about colour palette work and design. Steve also worked with some gifted and talented pupils to produce a range of Governor Portraits inspired by a particular artist. The children really enjoyed this element and were talking about it for many weeks afterwards. It was a hugely enjoyable experience and one we would recommend many other schools to take advantage of.
"Staff found the approach Stephen offered both stimulating and interesting whilst giving us also practical experience of creating a piece of art with a religious interpretation. Staff have already been trying out various ideas with the children, who have loved them."
"A good cross curricular and creative approach to RE and the Arts which the staff enjoyed participating in."
Chalice Arts came to our school well-equipped and set up the workspace quickly and efficiently. Our G&T children enjoyed the challenge of working with a new medium of acrylic paint on canvas boards. The meticulous instruction had the children totally engrossed in the project and we were impressed with the high quality of the finished pieces of work. We are very keen for Steve to return!
Stephen Bruce visited Leopold School to deliver INSETS for the teachers and TA's, following on he spent time working on the displays in the school hall. Stephen lifted the standard of creativity within the school and we received many impressive comments from parents. We were very pleased with the outcome and look forward to working with Stephen again on a painting project with KS2.

Your art sessions in our school with children from Year 2 to Year 6 have been excellent. You have not only taught our children new skills, and love and appreciation of art, but also our staff. We now have some beautiful displays around our school, which clearly reflect our Christian values - an important part of who we are. The photographs that you have taken for us are also excellent and are just what we wanted for our school website. Thank you very much, Steve.
Chalice Arts UK delivered an excellent INSET for the staff on using clay. This inspired our Art Week and Stephen Bruce delivered workshops for our Year 2 classes. We learnt a great deal from this experience and improved the skills of teachers and support staff. Thank you - it was very enjoyable and the children produced lovely work. We look forward to Chalice Arts working with our Art Subject Leader over the next term.
We have really appreciated the work Chalice Arts did for our "Take One Picture" project. The INSET with staff and the teaching with the children produced lovely work.
"Chalice Arts delivered a really well planned Bible story project for each year group from Year 1 to Year 6. Good quality work was produced and Chalice Arts returned to help finish off the work. A really valuable contribution to raising the Christian ethos of the school through art. Highly recommended. We have booked Chalice Arts to carry out a First World War commemorative project with Year 5 and 6."
"We are so pleased with our St Peter's Painting for our assembly hall. It's much more than we imagined. It's a masterpiece - it has a real presence."
Chalice Arts returned in October and carried out two Black History workshops. Again we were absolutely delighted with the outcome.
Chalice Arts has contributed enormously to raising our Christian Ethos through art and projects to promote British Values. The contributions from Chalice Arts were really appreciated during our very successful SIAMS Inspection.
"Chalice Arts supported us with writing our Scheme of Work for art and matching resources. We were very pleased with the highly professional and enthusiastic support provided. Chalice Arts were responsive to our needs and helped us develop a creative and stimulating Scheme of Work.
We were delighted by our 125th Anniversary Painting. It is such a good resource for worship in our school hall and has a central place in the school.
We look forward to working with you in the future."
Chalice Arts has returned on many occasions and the artwork linked to Christian values has been very impressive and contributed to our outstanding SIAMS Inspection.
Chalice Arts has provided several very successful art projects for us and these are now on display in our school. Steve came to our school with all the resources ready to work with the children. The projects were well planned in consultation with our staff so they enriched our curriculum and Catholic ethos. Our children have enjoyed working with an art specialist. We also benefitted from photographs Steve produced and help with displays. We have appreciated all Steve has done for us.
